So much to do, so little time!
Visit the gardens, or harvest some salad vegetables in season. Take a dip in the in-ground pool. Or hit the links at any of several nearby golf courses. Hang out on the beach, or cruise around Portland Harbor's picturesque islands. Swim, boat, or sail on Sebago Lake. Enjoy snowshoeing or sledding in winter – bring your own skis and cross-country ski right out your back door, or do some downhill skiing at nearby Shawnee Peak or even up to Sugarloaf. Enjoy any of many fabulous dining opportunities locally, with half a dozen great options right nearby, or in Portland, known for its variety of restaurants and creative cuisine. Check out the many beaches in Southern Maine, or visit The Kennebunks, Old Orchard Beach, or Scarborough's long stretches of sandy beaches. There are extensive shops nearby in the Old Port or the Maine Mall in South Portland, or go antiquing in nearby Cornish. Then come home and relax in the peaceful countryside setting. The Farm is within easy access of it all.

Vegetable & Ornamental Gardens
Moment's Peace Farm has extensive ornamental gardens, as well as vegetable and berry gardens. Guests are welcome to pick from and enjoy their bounty during your stay. There are usually ample pickings for a great salad!

Swimming
The Farm's in-ground pool is the perfect place for family fun or peaceful restoration during summer months. (Swim at your own risk.)

Golf
Try the 9-hole golf club at nearby Salmon Falls Country Club, with its River Tap and Grille, or any of the many golf clubs in the area, such as Nonesuch, Gorham Country Club, Valhalla, Point Sebago, and more.

Cross-Country Skiing
With over 30 acres of fields and 50 acres of woods there are plenty of opportunities for snow shoeing (we can supply) or cross-country skiing (bring your own) right out your door.

Canoeing & Fishing
Enjoy a day on the water on nearby Saco River. We can point you to put-ins for canoeing or fishing. If you don't have your own boat, a local company offers canoe and kayak rentals and delivery – advanced reservations required – inquire for more information.

Relax & Unwind
Your own private deck, the lawn below, the pool side, the pond – choose your favorite place to enjoy the Farm's tranquil surroundings.

Beaches of Southern Maine
The area boasts both fresh-water and ocean options, and we can help with links and more information. Our favorite is Pine Point in Scarborough. Miles of sandy shore. There are also some more hidden places, and Portland Head Light and Casco Bay are great to explore.

Dining
There are some great restaurants close to the Farm – we can direct you to our favorites! Portland is also just a 25 minute drive and hails as the area's most popular "foodie" town. Looking to explore further? Naples, Kennebunk, Conway, and Freeport are fun places to visit with delicious fare.

Red Sox Farm Team
The Portland Sea Dogs are the farm team for the Red Sox. It's a quick 25 minute drive to enjoy all of the excitement and great food with easier access and better parking! Tickets are often available last minute.

Wedding Overflow Accommodations
Hosting a wedding at one of the nearby wedding venues? Do you have some additional family or friends who need a place to stay? We’re happy to host up to 4 guests you’d like to provide nearby, personal accommodations (no parties, please).
